This Year at a Glance: Luxury Spaces, Iconic Places
As 2024 draws to a close, I reflect on an incredible year filled with inspiring projects in some of the most beautiful locations. From the snowy mountains of Basalt, Colorado, to the stunning coastline of Pacific Palisades and the thriving neighborhood of West Hollywood, I’ve had the privilege of creating spaces that are not only luxurious but deeply personal. These projects—each rooted in luxury interior design and tailored to my client’s unique lifestyles—have challenged me in exciting ways and reminded me of why I love creating bespoke living spaces.
Currently, I’m immersed in a project at the iconic Sierra Towers in West Hollywood, collaborating with a high-profile client to reimagine his luxury condo design. This home is becoming a masterpiece of custom furniture and design, featuring a bespoke upholstered bed, custom pieces throughout, and a unique bedroom layout tailored to his lifestyle. Nestled in the electric heart of West Hollywood, Sierra Towers is legendary not only for its mid-century architecture but also for its celebrity residents, including Courteney Cox. Known for its celebrity real estate appeal, the building is steeped in history and glamour. Working in a space that embodies so much character and prestige is a true honor.
In the exclusive Pacific Palisades, I’ve been fortunate to work on a project that captures the essence of coastal elegance in this unique neighborhood. Nestled between Santa Monica and Malibu, the Palisades isn’t just a location—it’s a way of life. With breathtaking ocean-view properties and a vibrant, sophisticated community, it’s the perfect backdrop for creating timeless homes that celebrate the beauty of coastal California living. Designing here means crafting spaces that reflect the serene yet luxurious lifestyle the Pacific Palisades real estate market is known for.
In the mountains of Basalt, Colorado, my Lake Modern project has been equally inspiring. With the Aspen/Basalt area nearing the end of its luxury home development boom, this project feels even more significant. This region’s pristine beauty and reputation as a haven for adventure and elegance make it a dream destination for homeowners seeking a blend of modern mountain design and natural serenity. As one of the last significant developments in the area, this project has been a rare opportunity to create something genuinely enduring in a place where luxury mountain living meets the splendor of nature.
Looking back on 2024, I feel deeply grateful for the clients, collaborators, and opportunities that have made this year so fulfilling. These projects have been a labor of love, and I’m thrilled about what lies ahead in 2025. Here’s to another year of inspired design, beautiful spaces, and endless creativity.
Warmly,
Donna
